"A people passionate about reconstructing communities"

“Hallowed be Thy name…”

The congregation of believers was warmly welcomed by the scripture verse: “Blessed are those who dwell in your house.”

Aunty Val thanked the believers for their faithful prayers as she testified to her recovered health. This morning, Pastor Roger introduced to the church the reality of the role of the body of believers regarding politics. Surely God is God of the government too. ‘The political scenario is changing..’

God in His faithfulness has always raised up leaders from His kingdom to fulfill His destiny in government. “Let your kingdom come and your will be done” is part of the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples to pray. God is faithful in maintaining His commands and His will to be fulfilled on earth as it is done in Heaven. Will the believers be ready t be raised up to be in governance?

One such man headed the call to be raised up to govern and serve is Pastor Dourie. The sermon was lead by Pastor Dourie who is a man serving in parliament. The message he had to share came from Matt. 27v19. He was sure to encourage all to read the entire chapter of Matt. 27.

Truth and Reconciliation

This word seems to have been spoken of in great lengths in the political arena since our country gained it’s freedom from apartheid in 1994. However, true reconciliation has it’s roots founded in the word of God. Secondly, reconciliation can only be performed toward people and not toward objects or material.

The fundamental message of God’s word is that He (God) wants us (his people) to be reconciled to Him.

Deuteronomy says that life is in the blood. If reconciliation is about new beginnings and life, then surely the blood of Jesus marks the foundation and beginning of man’s reconciliation toward God. The death of Jesus and His resurrection is the foundation of the gospel.

Matt. 27v19 was the main verse of this sermon and in this verse Pilate’s wife sends a message to him urging him by saying “Have nothing to do with this man…”

Pilate seems perplexed by the presence of Jesus – called the Messiah, King of the Jews before him. In the movie, ‘Passion of the Christ’, the character Pilate asked Jesus what was Truth or Veritas (the Latin word for truth) All the while the Truth was standing right in front of him. The Truth is Jesus and Jesus is the Truth.

The question is, will we allow the Truth being the person of Jesus Christ guide our lives or will we listen to the voice of the Deceiver and choose to “Have nothing to do with this man”

The Word says “And you will know the truth and the knowledge of the truth will set you free.” Let us walk in Truth, Freedom and Reconciliation as we allow God’s will to be done in our lives, families, community, country and the world. Amen

Impact Direct Ministries would like to wish you and your families a wonderful year ahead. May God increase His anointing over your life as He pour out His blessings over you.

After a year where we saw GOD reconstructing the lives of people young and old, and touching the nations of the world we are looking forward to see what GOD has instore for 2009. We know that whatever we do we do it to bring honour and glory to the King of kings. Last week Saturday we started the year with a day of prayer as many people gathered at the Impact Centre in prayer and thanksgiving unto the LORD.

The key themes of the prayer gathering was Vision, Encouragement, Unity and Thanksgiving along with the numarous prayer requests received from people. It was revealed to us that GOD desires to make known His manifold wisdom to all the earth. We as a people have been given this mandate to carry this wisdom to all the earth sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
